Finally! Time for everybody’s favorite holiday hat—the classic Santa hat. Just as with the Elf Ears Hat, I used metallic and fluffy yarn to really make this crewmate’s hat pop. I kept his spacesuit in standard yarn and just used the metallic for his festive hat. If you’d rather not used the specialty yarns, by all means, keep it simple.

  • Light Taupe — 6.0 oz
  • Black — 3.0 oz
  • Cranberry — 1.4 oz
  • Red — 1.0 oz
  • Grey Beard — .3 oz
  • Light Gray — .3 oz
  • White — .2 oz

~ Hobby Lobby Metallic I Love This Yarn 5.0 oz skeins:

  • Red Metallic — 1.0 oz

~ Bernat Pipsqueak Yarn 3.5 oz skeins:

  • Whitey White — 1.5 oz

~ Size H Crochet Hook or hook needed to achieve gauge (see Gauge for C2C Afghans)

Crochet the square starting from the bottom right corner of the chart.  Row-by-row written instructions are below.

After you finish crocheting the block, crochet one row of single crochet in LIGHT TAUPE around the entire block.  See Adding a Single Crochet Edge around a Finished C2C Block for how I crochet around the edge.
