This Aliens Afghan is out of this world!
I know it’s been awhile since you’ve heard from me, but that doesn’t mean I’ve just been sitting around. All right, I have been sitting around, but I was desiging and crocheting, so it’s all good!
Here’s another fun pattern in partnership with Lion Brand Yarn. I wanted a pattern that wasn’t holiday-specific and that kids (or adults!) of either gender would enjoy. Aliens and UFOs fit the bill perfectly! They stir the imagination and give us the luxury of wondering “What if?”
This child-size Take Me to Your Leader Afghan features three friendly aliens and six mini UFOs to guard your child’s sleep. It’s also the perfect size for a throw or lap blanket.
Since this pattern doesn’t have a lot of color changes per row, it’s suitable for those fairly new to corner-to-corner crochet. Stitch it up for your favorite extraterrestrial-lover today!

I hope you enjoy stitching this aliens-themed afghan as much as I did. I actually stitched a second one in brighter colors, just because I wanted to see what a neon-green alien would look like. Check it out.
I love them both. I have a niece who likes aliens who’ll be getting one of these as a wedding gift this year. Who is the alien-lover in your life? Comment below.
