The Chinese Dragon C2C crochet Block
In Chinese culture, the dragon symbolizes everything from power, heroism, and boldness to optimism, nobility, and good fortune. The Chinese dragon is always a fun addition to the Chinese dance in The Nutcracker ballet. In Littleton Ballet Academy’s version, the dragon comes on blinking and dancing.
Every once in awhile I’ll surprise myself with a block and this Chinese Dragon C2C Crochet Block is one of them. In art, Chinese dragons tend to be very sinuous and undulating, so that is what I went for in designing this block. It turned out better than I ever imagined I could design it. I love it!
