Digits of Pi Border 2

Did you get Border 1 finished? It was long, wasn’t it? This second Digits of Pi border panel is much shorter. It and the 4th one will actually be attached to the afghan first, but you’ll see all of that in the Fruit Pi C2C Crochet Afghan—Joining and Edging post coming later.

Now for a bit of trivia! Guess who was shares a birthday with Pi Day! I’ll give you a couple of clues.

  • He’s super famous
  • He was a math and physics genius
  • He was humorously portrayed by Walter Matthau in the movie IQ

Albert Einstein!

Isn’t that great! I love that Einstein has a birthday on 3/14. It seems infinitely 😉 appropriate.

Digits of Pi Border Panel Instructions

You’ll just need two colors for the border strips—beige and chocolate. For ease in reading this chart, it extends across 2 pages, with rows of overlap between them.

  • Beige [554 squares + SC edging] — 6.3 oz
  • Chocolate [174]—1.9 oz
