Crochet Your Support for the Summer Olympics
Are you hyped for the Paris Olympics?
I am! I love blocking out time for a couple of weeks to watch all the elite athletes from around the world. (Plus, it’s a great excuse to sit and crochet. Am I right?) Which sport is your favorite? Surfing? Archery? Rowing? Table tennis?
This Paris ’24 C2C Crochet Afghan is a great way to show your support for the City of Light and all the athletes. It features the Eiffel Tower surrounded with celebratory fireworks.
I have partnered, once again, with Lion Brand to bring you this quick-to-stitch blanket. If the Olympics aren’t your thing, customize the fireworks colors or remove the date to make it one-of-a-kind.

This is a nice, light afghan that is perfect for chilly summer evenings. Especially if those who live in the same house as you like the air conditioner cranked up to arctic temperatures.

Enjoy stitching this up for this special year. I’ll see you at the Paris Olympics!
Enjoy!
I am working on the Paris ’24 C2C afghan. I have a question about Rows 61 thru 66. The pattern says to start decreasing along left edge, yet the stated stitch count from 61 thru 66 stays at 60. Therefore, do you turn at the end of the row chaining 2 stitches, and then begin 3 st cluster?
The stitch count stays the same because while you decrease along the left edge, you are still increasing on the other end of the row. To decrease, after turning the afghan, you slip stitch along the right edge of the square you just finished up to the next row. You then CH3 and DC3 in the available chain from the previous row. There is a picture tutorial of basic C2C at the end of the pattern, or if you prefer to watch a video, Mikey from the Crochet Crowd has a very in depth video on C2C that I’ve linked to on my video page: https://swishandstitch.com/crochet-videos/
