The Snow Queen C2C crochet Block

This C2C crochet block is for the beautiful Snow Queen and her King who charm Clara and her Prince as they wander through the forest during a magical snowfall. I began to equate the Snow music with my daughter JMoney who first danced the Snow Queen when she was 13. I would tear up every single time I heard it play.

A couple of years back, my son began to dance the Snow King. Now I have two reasons to cry for this music!

FAIR WARNING: The Snow Queen C2C Crochet Block is sooooo deceptive! It looks easy, right? I mean, only two colors after all. How hard could it be? It is probably the hardest block in the afghan. Don’t believe me? Give it a try.

To give you some idea, look at all the color changes in the middle row.

Fun, right? I love the final block, just don’t be fooled. You’ll need several bobbins of blue and white to crochet this one up.
