Are you ready for some LEGO fun? I’m always ready for LEGO fun! In fact, my daughter HDawg and I just took down and put away all of our Christmas LEGO models and I’m trying to decide what to build next. I’m trying to decide between my modular buildings and my castle/dwarf/troll sets. These sets always seemed like LEGO’s unlicensed version of The Lord of the Rings inspired sets. Of course, then LEGO started making actual The Lord of the Rings sets. But, my old sets would fit in nicely with The Lord of the Rings sets anyway.

The first block in the LEGO-Inspired Brick Face Family Afghan is the Brick Face Dad. After watching me design several brick face crochet patterns, my daughter HDawg piped up and asked to design a few. This is one of her designs. I think she did a great job! I love the beard and mustache!

I gave a 12-block version of this afghan to my sister’s family for Christmas. Her kids loved it! They also loved picking out which of the blocks represent members of their family. Fittingly, my brother-in-law sports a beard. Though I didn’t choose a dad with a beard with my brother-in-law in mind, I’m so glad I did! It’s always great to please the little ones!
