Whether you eat them sliced, diced or mashed into guacamole, avocados are the perfect accompaniment to tacos and other fiesta foods! They add a wonderful creaminess to an entrΓ©e and tone down the spice from meat rubs and salsas. Toss them with a little salt and a little lime. Yum! What’s your favorite way to eat avocados? On tacos? In salads? Spread on toast? I love it all!

This Avocados C2C Crochet Panel is much simpler than last week’s Papel Picado Crochet Panel. You’re not working with quite as many color changes at a time so it’s a nice breather after the first panel. And since the avocados alternate directions, this would make a wonderful table runner as well. Just add a colorful border and throw it on your fiesta table!

  • White — 5.6 oz
  • Kelly Green (dark green) — 1.7 oz
  • Jade (light green) — 2.9 oz
  • Soft Taupe (light brown) — .8 oz
  • Chocolate (brown) — .7 oz

~ Size H Crochet Hook or hook needed to achieve gauge (see Gauge for C2C Afghans)

~ Yarn Needle

~ Scissors

Crochet the panel starting from the bottom right corner of the chart.  Row-by-row written instructions are below.

After you finish crocheting the panel, crochet one row of single crochet in WHITE around the entire panel.  See Adding a Single Crochet Edge around a Finished C2C Block for how I crochet around the edge.

I really like working in either blocks or panels. It makes crocheting a large blanket so much easier! And I like the flexibility of mixing and matching the panels. I love avocados, but some of my kiddos don’t. This blanket will not be going to one of them. πŸ™‚

Next week, it’s mustache time! See you Monday for the Mustaches C2C Crochet Panel—Fiesta! Afghan.
